My own Reverie

It was one of those days again
I was back on that familiar terrain

Our eyes met, with a thousand unspoken words
narrated all things yet untold

It was not long back that times were pleasant
memories of tomes spent past and present

i bumped into him totally unawre
My mind said, Girl!!! beware!!

I knew i had lost it again
A pain i had i would regain

We shared a bond, a deep sense of togetherness
Some strings attached,some caught unawares!

But times have changed,we had to move on
yet i had to say hey!!! c'mon

This was what we had agreed on
Till eternity and beyond...

I wish him luck,i wish him joy
As for me it was another decoy!!!!

5 simple pleasures in life...

here goes smin...

lazying in bed on a sunday morning..

get a nice meal ready on the table waiting for me...

those happy days spent at the numerous coffee days with close friends!!!

winning a tightly fought TT match or for that matter any sport!!

chat/whisper through the nite on my mobile!!!

P.S : well if u read this one u'll find it difficult to figure me out..its a confusing mix between a lazy bum and an active person!!! Sooooo dont think too hard...those who know me well... will..am sure ... not judge me with this;-)

Mayada:Daughter of Iraq...By Jean Sasson

Thats the last book i read a few days back and i must say the plot engrossed me so much that i completed the book in no time..well i must say calling it a "plot" would belittle the heart-wrenching story of Mayada...who survived the gallows of baladiyat prison and the gruesome torture meted out to her and several other unassuming Iraqi women and the true grit which brought her alive out of the dark gallows...its higly recommended reading....my friend says reading is so soothing..it takes you to the world of fantasy...well i must say that after reading Mayada's escapades...our life looks like fantasy coz for those Iraqi women it was plain and simple hell on earth ...divine justice probably is the word which often came to me as i was reading the book...the way Saddam met his Nemesis...could be nothing short of divine justice!!!!
Read it whenever you lay your hands on it!!

welcome to me.....

hello, last nite it was a nite of some intellectual outburst for me as i was introduced to this fascinating world of blogging...a kind hearted friend suggested me to do 'something out of the routine'...something different and said this is her way of doing it...well i was instantly hooked to it...thanks to her she introduced me to some exquisite blogs..and i must say that triggered the urge to blog all the more.....Thank God for that....like everyone else the very mundane would definitely not have my mind ticking!!!
believe you me..i was lying on bed and thinking what should be my first blog all through...well random thoughts did cross my mind which i hope to pen down or shall i say "key in" but lets see...where this will take me
